A Midsummer Night's Dream

by William Shakespeare

“Lord, what fools these mortals be!” declares the merry trickster, Puck in one of Shakespeares’ most beloved tales of magic and romance. Hermia loves Lysander and Lysander loves Hermia. But according to her father, and Athenian law, Hermia must marry Demetrius who once loved Helena, who still pines for him. Oberon and Titania, King and Queen of Fairyland are jealously quarreling disturbing the natural world, while a group of tradesmen, led by Bottom the Weaver, meet to rehearse a play in honor of the upcoming royal wedding.  What will happen when lovers, fairies, and “rude mechanicals” meet in the woods on a midsummer’s eve?
