American Red Cross Lifeguarding courses prepare individuals to make in-water rescues on conscious and unconscious victims, both in deep and shallow water. Participants also will learn CPR for professional rescuers, AED usage, and First Aid. Participants must be at least 15 years old by the last day of the course and be able to swim 300 yards unassisted, tread water without hands for 2 minutes, and complete a timed event. This course will consist of approximately 8 hours of online, blended learning work, and approximately 20 hours of in-person classroom and skills sessions.
Class size is limited to 10 participants and must be 15 years old by the first day of class.
Participants MUST register via the CRW Member Portal to be registered for this program.
Attendance in all class dates listed below is mandatory:
