Do you feel boxed in with traditional assessment methods such as grading essays, multiple choice, and fill in the blank responses to evaluate student learning? Are you ready to launch into unchartered territory within your class?
Come join us on this adventure and participate in an interactive session that digs deeper into the framework for Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and zeros in on providing students with multiple means of action and expression – a key principle of UDL. We will think outside of the box and explore alternative assessment options that reduce unintentional barriers that may get in the way of students being able to express what they have learned, while at the same time keeping rigor high.
