Critical Friends: Grant Writing with the University Writing Program

The University Writing Program would like to invite interested faculty to participate in a Critical Friends: Grant Writing workshop. These workshops are small peer-review sessions where faculty writers from different disciplines support each other in developing their ideas and making their grant narratives clear to the sort of broadly knowledgeable audiences that often review proposals.

During the workshops, each writer shares a section of their grant proposal and works through reader feedback. Writers then perform the role of “critical friend” to other grant writers in their group. Critical Friend groups are facilitated by experienced grant writers and reviewers.

If you have a grant that you’re currently working on, consider sharing your drafts with us at an upcoming Critical Friends: Grant Writing workshop. To indicate interest, please fill out the following survey on Qualtrics:

We look forward to working with you as you revise and refine your grant project.
