We are proud to invite educators out to earn CEU’s at the 2018 Educator Excellence Summit on June 13th and 14th in the Speight Building on ECU’s main campus. This is a great opportunity for beginning teachers, lateral entry teachers, experienced teachers, administrators, really educators of all levels to get together to collaborate and reflect on skills involved in the field of education. We have aligned the topics with the NC Teaching Standards to make sure that the content delivered will be of interest to all of those in attendance.
We are also integrating Mursion in many of the sessions, so not only will you be able to learn new concepts, you will be able to try them out immediately to see how they work for you. If you aren’t familiar with Mursion, you are in for a treat! If you choose to attend a session that incorporates Mursion, you’ll be able to practice with avatars and you’ll be amazed how much they remind you of real students or parents!
Topics planned include Leadership, ELL, Diversity, Bullying, Differentiation, Motivation, Classroom Harmony, Retention, School Culture, and more.
Proposals are invited and encouraged to showcase practices that align with the teaching standards. You can submit your proposal to http://bit.ly/summerproposals.
Seats are limited, so register early to ensure yourself a spot. Lunch will be served on both days.
In addition to the main conference, we will also be offering a Teacher Leader Seminar from 1-5 pm on June 14th that is limited to the first 12 participants who register for it. If you are ready to start making a difference at your school, then it may be time to think about becoming a teacher leader.
To register, go to http://bit.ly/MursionRegistration. Fees are $30-50 for general public and $20-30 for ECU students. Presenters may attend the conference at no charge.
