Influenza 1918: The North Carolina Experience

It is estimated that one million North Carolinians suffered from influenza during 1918-1919. Over 13,000 citizens of the state died during a six-month period. This lecture will focus on the social, medical, and public health consequences of the pandemic. In addition, literature related to the period will be discussed.
