Center for Improved Mentoring Experiences in Research (CIMER) Workshop Series

This session introduces the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research curriculum and focuses on the Communication competency. Learning objectives include: 1) Learning about mentoring experiences of faculty in the group to begin building a learning community. 2) Preparing to establish effective research mentoring relationships with mentees. 3) Using multiple strategies for improving communication. 4) Communicating effectively across multiple dimensions, including varied backgrounds, disciplines, ethnicities, and positions of power.
