Joyner Library Spring Banquet, featuring Vivian Howard

The Friends of Joyner Library will host “A Night with Vivian Howard” as part of their 2017 Spring Banquet on March 30 at the Greenville Hilton.

Star and creator of the PBS show "A CHEF’S LIFE" and owner and chef of the acclaimed Chef and the Farmer restaurant in Kinston, Howard will share personal experiences with discovering age-old traditions for Southern cooking that inspired her latest cookbook, Deep Run Roots. A true celebration of the flavors from North Carolina’s coastal plain, Howard divulges over 200 recipes and stories to reveal the history of Southern food and its roots in family and tradition.

Also during the program, the Friends of Joyner Lifetime Membership Award will be presented to long-time member Edith Rand.
