Lift Like a Girl Strength Clinics

Lift Like A Girl is a strength series designed for women, but open to all beginners (men and women), that are new to resistance training basics.  We will be educating/demonstrating the proper technique when performing exercises using free and machine weights.  We will also introduce various Functional Training exercise and ways to modify them for all skill levels!

Sessions are FREE, however preregistration is required.  You can sign up for one session or sign up for all.

Session #1 - 9/14/17 Introduction into Free Weights pt. 1:  Upper Body - Teaching participants the basics to resistance training with free weights (barbells and dumbbells) and body weight exercises that specifically target the upper body muscles.

Session #2 - 9/21/17 Introduction into Free Weights pt. 2: Lower Body
Teaching participants the basics to resistance training with free weights (barbells and dumbbells) and body weight exercises that specifically target the lower body muscles.

Session #3 - 9/28/17 Introduction to Fucntional Training - This Session Meets at the Rec Center in the Health Science Student Center
Utilizing the TRX straps, Kettelbells, Medicine Balls, Body Weight and more, participants will be shown numerous exercises for all skill levels that target specific muscle groups and train core stability.
