Looking Good: Visual Experience

An exhibition of work by professor Cynthia Bickley-Green. Associated with the Washington Color School, Bickley-Green's early work explored the effects of physical and optical painted gesture/color interaction in abstract compositions. During her doctoral studies, she limited her visual studies to the role of afterimage, a form of entopic imagery, in painting. Her current paintings represent entoptic visual experience inspired by sound and haptic sensation.
