Prescription for Success

Prescription for Success is an event designed for first-year students (freshmen and transfers) interested in learning more about health professions. It is officially recognized as one of the “Plunge Into Purple” events. This event is held each fall and provides us the opportunity to showcase the professional programs offered at ECU, as well as educate students on professional programs offered at other institutions (like optometry, pharmacy and veterinary medicine). Students will attend multiple sessions to explore the career options, be educated regarding requirements, understand what schools are looking for and how to be a competitive applicant, and the resources available at ECU to help them on their journey. Students have the opportunity to meet directors of admission, faculty, current professional school students, and professionals from the local area.
