Resilient Writing Communities Trauma-Informed Teaching & Writing - a Writing Across the Curriculum Workshop

The trauma and stress of a global pandemic has undoubtedly affected student learning in both obvious and more subtle ways. As educators, we can play a key role in disrupting larger traumatic forces in the world. Trauma-informed writing pedagogies grounded in community resilience can reduce the risk of re-traumatization while supporting all student writers. This workshop explores trauma-aware teaching and writing instruction, and participants will gain access to a wealth of resources provided by the Academic Resilience Consortium (ARC).
