This session focuses on the Aligning Expectations competency of the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research curriculum. Learning objectives include: 1) Designing and communicating clear goals for the research project and mentoring relationship. 2) Considering the expectations of the mentee in the mentoring relationship and r how personal and professional differences may impact expectations. 3) Aligning mentee and mentor expectations using mentoring compacts.
