Sustainability Film & Discussion Series: Land Grab

LAND GRAB is the story of an eccentric finance mogul's dream to create the world's largest urban farm in his hometown of Detroit, and the political firestorm he unintentionally ignited by announcing that he would spend $30 million of his own fortune to build this farm in one of the most economically devastated neighborhoods of the bankrupt Motor City.

SustainECU and Student Activities Board are proud to present the 2nd Annual ECU Sustainability Film & Discussion Series, which strives to lend a voice to environmental sustainability and climate change issues affecting our community and the world.  The series will screen monthly documentary films ranging in topics from consumerism to waste, agriculture to water, and transportation to energy.

The program is supported in part by ECU Facilities Services and the Joyner Library as well as Campus Recreation and Wellness.  Local sponsors include:  Re-Leaf, Keep Greenville Beautiful, Sound Rivers, Sierra Club Cypress Group, and Friends of the Greenville Greenway (FROGGS).  Please join us and bring a friend to kick off the second year of this series and stick around afterward for the post-film discussions.
