THRIVE Mentorship and Advocacy Summit

THRIVE Mentorship and Advocacy Summit

Mentoring is a key component to faculty success, and there are many models of mentoring that may be effective. But most mentoring doesn’t happen organically or in a vacuum. Effective mentoring is best achieved through collaborative programs that nurture relationships, expand networks, and build skills. This mentoring summit is for everyone—unit leaders, senior faculty, and junior faculty—anyone interested in improving both formal and informal networking practices, which benefit all ECU faculty. The summit will first showcase the skills and techniques of several highly effective mentors at ECU. Then, we will provide hands-on opportunity to expand professional networks and mentor pools. Finally, we will help to improve faculty toolkits for various types of mentoring including peer mentoring, reverse mentoring, and group mentoring. Bring your mentor, mentees, and colleagues!
