East Carolina University

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) CHEC North Carolina Workshop

Please consider attending the Saturday, March 23rd United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) CHEC North Carolina Workshop in Partnership with the Whichard Professorship in the Humanities.

RSVP is required!

Goals of Workshop:

1. Teachers will think critically and self-reflectively about their own teaching of the Holocaust (e.g., why they teach it, what and how they teach it, and what they want students to learn and why).

2. Teachers will learn of resources offered by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (e.g., lessons, activities, online exhibits, books, and other materials) and they will see several lessons modeled for them so they will be more likely to use them in their own classes.

3. Teachers will participate in break-out sessions to learn more about specific topics related to their interests and classrooms.
