About this Event
This workshop will unpack some of the bigger questions around grading and get you thinking differently about the evaluation and assessment systems you use in your classrooms. The presenter will illustrate the questions and concerns associated with grading, and identify practices, tools, and strategies to shift your practice to more effectively serve your students. Participants will identify ways to reframe assessment and evaluation to foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, entrepreneurial thinking, and inquiry-based learning. The next steps will include an identification of assessment practices that are focused on student learning outcomes and inform targeted teaching while supporting a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in learning environments.
