Veteran to Scholar Boot Camp

East Carolina University’s Veteran to Scholar Boot Camp will take place August 3-14 and will count on participants' fall schedule as 3 humanities credits, which allows a lighter schedule during the semester.

Veteran to Scholar’s directors, Dr. Anna Froula and Dr. Sheena Eagan, are excited to be able to offer scholarships to participants in 2020. Because this is a new feature of the program, those details are still being worked out.

This is an uncertain time, but Veteran to Scholar will happen whether or not ECU resumes face-to-face classes in the fall. Books and materials will be provided by the program. If the program is face-to-face, the program will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, meals will be provided, and dormitory housing will also be provided to those who want to stay on campus for the duration of Veteran to Scholar. If the program runs online, it will include both synchronous and asynchronous meetings, and, due to costs being lower, the scholarships offered will be more substantial. Those details will be provided as soon as possible, based on guidance from ECU.
