VoiceThread for Interactive Discussions & Student Presentation Assignments (Cornerstone session #5292)
What is VoiceThread? VoiceThread is a learning tool for enhancing student engagement and online presence. With VoiceThread, instructors and/or students can create, share, and comment on images, presentations, videos, audio files, and documents using audio, video, and text. Like a text-based discussion board, comments are organized in a threaded fashion, allowing users to reply to existing comments or to create new comment threads. Details: This session will cover setting up and using VoiceThread to create presentations that once shared with students, allows them to watch and add threaded text, audio and video comments creating a media-driven discussion. We'll also cover using VoiceThread for student presentations, which can be shared with just the instructor, the entire class or both. The instructor and students in the course can also add public or private threaded audio/video comments to a student's presentation. During this session, attendees will be invited to create and comment on a VoiceThread. Attendees should bring a laptop to participate.
