Writing to Learn: A Classroom Strategy

While high-stakes writing assignments are an important learning tool in classrooms across the disciplines, low-stakes assignments encourage active learning while stimulating class discussions and facilitating formative assessment. In this interactive workshop, participants will explore how writing-to-learn can be sequenced to provide scaffolding for meaningful learning while not increasing instructor workload.
