Yin Yoga

The Mind & Body Zone, located at the Student Recreation Center, provides specialized mind body classes for the Pirate Community to alleviate stress and promote well-being. Classes are completely free for current ECU students; all you need is an open mind and a mat. No mat? No worries. We have some at the studio for you to use. Non-students can also participate and should register online or at the SRC Main Office. For questions, call Courtney Johnson at 252-328-5791.

Cost: FREE; $25 for non-members

What is Yin Yoga? - Yin Yoga is a calming practice meant for a meridian balancing, mind and body experience, through the use of stretches that are held for 5-7 minutes at a time. These deep gentle stretches will help to release fascia and lengthen connective tissues in the body, improving circulation and flexibility. Class will begin wit ha centering meditation and will end with a blissful savasana. This class is open to students of all levels, even new yogis!

Class Time: 8-9 p.m.

Space is limited so register early.
