It's wonderful to have events such as the W. Keats Sparrow Writing Awards provide opportunities for students to contribute to the research and scholarship of their respective fields of interests. Kudos to Joyner Library staff, professors from the Department of English, the University Writing Center, and Friends of Joyner Library (of which I am a proud Board member of) for making this endeavor possible for our ENGL 2201 students!

The dogs there were pretty cool, I was hoping they would have a cat too for the people who aren't fond of dogs or something but otherwise it was alright. The dogs were sweet.

East Carolina University's Admitted Students Day was a blast. This event allowed students and parents to learn about the different opportunities the university offers from financial aid to the support systems. That was the first time I ever stepped foot on the campus and I enjoyed every second, every piece of information, and I truly enjoyed ECU's atmosphere.
