An Interactive System for Personalization of Learning (ISPeL)

In July 2017, the ECU Computer Science Department received a grant from NSF (July 2017 - June 2022, $2 million budget) to revolutionize the way Computer Science in particular, and STEM in general, is taught and learned. One aspect of this project focuses on personalization of learning. We view personalization as a means to address diversity in student learning. The U.S. National Academy of Engineering (NAE) has identified personalization of learning as one of the fourteen grand challenge problems for the engineering disciplines. In this presentation, we will demonstrate how ISPeL can be used to personalize learning in your courses. We will also show how existing course content can be re-purposed for ISPeL deployment.
