DESCRIPTION:This session will provide an overview of approaches for co-deve
 loping research ideas and projects with community partners. This session w
 ill include a discussion of how to set up successful collaborations with o
 ther academic researchers\, educators and practitioners\, and community pa
 rtners\, and include authorship\, roles on grant proposals and avoiding an
 d resolving disputes and conflicts. The first hour will be open to anyone 
 at ECU interested in getting involved in community engaged research (regis
 tration through ECU OFE). After the first hour\, this virtual session will
  close to just be available to 2026-2027 EOSA faculty and Cohort 3 and Coh
 ort 4 NRT students.\n\nThe closed session of the workshop will provide an 
 overview and discussion of the following for EOSA/NRT projects:\nCo-develo
 ping a timeline for projects\, identifying roles\, responsibilities\, and 
 expectations\, and identifying intended outcomes and products\nCo-developi
 ng a memorandum of partnership with a community partner\nCo-developing a p
 roject budget and making plans for future funding
