Southern literature is iconic, often touching, and sometimes sad. This discussion group will examine southern literature and authors from the standpoint of common themes, rich descriptions, the role of picturesque settings of mountains to the shore, and ways in which memorable characters are built. Sessions will meet weekly for three weeks. A book list from which to choose what you wish to read will be sent 2 weeks prior to the first class.
