R markdown and Quarto documents allow text and R code to appear in the same document in such way that the code is executed, and the output is "woven" with the text to produce a document in a variety of formats that include html, pdf, and MS word.  This is especially useful for including plots and graphs. Simple examples will be given using RStudio.
