Statistics 2: Sampling Distributions and Statistical Inference

Confidence intervals and p-values are fundamental concepts in statistical inference. These concepts will be described using sampling distributions of means and of proportions but the interpretations that are given will apply to the more complicated analyses considered in later workshops.  The workshop will begin with a discussion of the importance of randomization in the production of data and the role of probability in quantifying our inferences.
