The NC School Health Training Center is providing a workshop that allows individuals to build knowledge and skills for effectively teaching reproductive health education.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

• Clarify the requirements of the NC Healthy Youth Act and  Essential Standards in Healthful Living Education
• Explain the value of establishing and maintaining group agreements
• Apply strategies for establishing and maintaining boundaries
• Summarize reproductive anatomy/functions and key changes associated with puberty
• Contrast FDA approved contraceptive and disease prevention methods
• Answer students' questions accurately and effectively
• Teach reproductive health and safety education with greater comfort, confidence, and effectiveness
