#SustainableEnergy #TrainingThe Center for Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering at ECU, in collaboration with Pitt County Economic Development and the Greenville Eastern North Carolina Alliance, is honored to be offering this in-person technical course.
This one-day training is designed for energy and EHS professionals who are tasked to advance decarbonization and energy performance. The session provides a comprehensive overview of ISO 50001:2018, focusing on the intent and applicability of its requirements within manufacturing environments. Participants will explore how to systematically identify and evaluate various types of energy and its use in operations and understand how energy is consumed across processes, equipment, and systems. Through practical exercises, real-world examples, and group discussions, attendees will learn how to implement an Energy Management System (EnMS) that drives measurable improvements in energy performance, supports cost savings, and contributes directly in achieving SDG 13 (Climate Action). This training empowers professionals to integrate energy management into broader sustainability strategies and lead their organizations toward a low-carbon future.
Instructor: Ms. Sandra Enciso, Senior Energy and Sustainability Project Manager at the Georgia Manufacturing Extension Partnership (GaMEP), Georgia Tech.
Registration includes light breakfast, lunch, parking, and a certificate of completion. Attendees may self-report professional development hours to the Board of Professional Engineers in NC.
