Therapeutic Thursdays will be in person for the Fall 2022 semester. Therapeutic Thursdays will take place at both MCSC Well-Being Hub and HSC Well-Being Center. It will also eventually spread out onto campus at different locations like sonic plaza. The goal of Therapeutic Thursdays provides the opportunity for the ECU community to participate in interactive stress relief activities to promote a calm, centered, and focused lifestyle.

8/25 - Thrival Kits - “Welcome back to Campus! Therapeutic Thursday provides the opportunity for the ECU community to participate in interactive stress relief activities to promote a calm, centered, and focused lifestyle.

9/1 - Room Sprays - Room sprays offer the benefits of aromatherapy. Aromatic room sprays are being made with fragrances that are purported to offer therapeutic benefits. These sprays promise everything from mood-boosting benefits to the ability to put users to sleep.

9/8 - Slime - The use of slime can be beneficial to reduce anxiety because: - It increases mindfulness - Calms the mind - Reduces stress. 

9/15 - Bracelet - Bracelet making is a fun activity to distract from feelings of stress and anxiety. 

9/22 - Journaling - Journaling is a great outlet for our thoughts and feelings all while providing therapeutic benefits. 

9/29 - Heating Pads - Lavendar has many therapeutic benefits that allow our bodies to function more effectively and alleviate feelings of anxiety and stress

10/6 - Hand Acupressure Benefits - Hand acupressure provides tension relief to the hands and fingers with pressure. This will reduce stress, headaches, and neck pain.

10/13 - Face Mask - Taking the time out of your day to do something for yourself can not only boost your mood but allow you to focus on just yourself and give your mind and body attention it needs.

10/20 - Lip Scrubs - DIY Lip scrubs are a great form of self-care while boosting your physical and emotional health.

10/27 - Self-Care and Benefits of Body Scrub - Our skin is the largest barrier against infection that we have. Keeping our skin healthy and moist helps keep this barrier strong.

11/3 - Lacrosse Ball Muscle Tension Relief - Use a lacrosse ball to increase range of motion, aid in muscle performance and decrease fatigue/soreness after exercise. 

11/10 - Different Ways to use a Stress Ball - Use a stress ball to reduce risk of injury, increase flexibility, build strength, and improve performance for daily tasks.

11/17 - Scents Impact on Stress - Aromatherapy has been shown to carry many benefits in terms of well-being and stress relief.

12/1 - Prepping for Finals -Prep for finals with our 10 different healthy study habits!
