In 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white man on a city bus, inspiring the black citizens of Montgomery to abandon all travel on city buses until they were no longer forced to sit in the back or stand when a white person boarded. Tired Souls tells the story of this pivotal moment by introducing audiences to the other brave U.S. Civil Rights visionaries who paved the way for this event to occur.
