Hanji is traditional handmade paper from Korea. Hanji is known for its beautiful color and durability. In this workshop, participants will make square trays with this special paper.

This workshop is led by Hye Sook Jee, a Korean traditional paper Hanji craft artist. Her passion for Hanji drives her to instruct Hanji craft art for over two decades, and she has held exhibits in South Korea, the Middle East and the United States. Prior to her relocating to Greenville, NC, Hye Sook Jee served as an arts instructor at the South Korean Cultural Center in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

This workshop does require pre-registration and a registration fee of $7 to cover materials. The workshop is in two parts on consecutive Saturdays: Saturday, November 11 from 10-12 and Saturday, November 18 from 10-12. You must attend both sessions to complete the tray

This workshop is offered as part of ECU's International Education Week (IEW) events. Find all IEW events at global-affairs.ecu.edu/iew
