Critical language awareness is an approach to teaching writing that engages students’ languages and dialects as assets in learning, rather than as deficits. In this session, participants will explore a digital toolkit developed by ECU faculty that includes resources to help us create more linguistically welcoming classrooms that inspire student writers and persistence.
